A TOP price of $6000 was achieved on three occasions by David, Christine and Fergus Dance at the Dance Angus Spring Sale held on-property at Millmerran on Friday.
The Dance family sold 46 bulls to return a clearance rate of 79 per cent.

Jeff and Raelea Holzwart, Bauhinia Park Angus, Emerald, attended the sale with the intentionof purchasing one good stud sire. They paid $6000 for Dance Fairdinkum C8 H243, which will be joined with stud cows in October. Dance Fairdinkum C8 H243 weighed in at 990kg and had a scrotal circumference of 40cm. He’s got good weight for age, really smooth skin, good bone and he is very mobile, Mr Holzwart said.

The bulls weighed 928kg and 920kg and had a scrotal circumference of 44cm and 42cm,
respectively.
George Hetherington, Muyong Grazing, Longreach, and Loretta and Murray Smith, Palmgrove, Bauhinia, were volume buyers at the sale, buying five bulls each to average $4300 and $4000 respectively.
Another volume buyer was the Waugh Brothers, Barcaldine, who purchased six bulls to average $3000.

Christine Dance said the season had been very difficult for many producers. 
We are extremely happy with the support we have received from local buyers and those from a long way away. There were repeat buyers here and it was pleasing to have an almost total clearance.
